A faded sepia cabinet card photograph showing a young woman from the waist up. She has dark hair parted in the center and pulled back, and wears a light dress with patterned bodice and lace or ribbon trim at the shoulders. Her right hand rests on what appears to be the back of a chair. The image has faded considerably; facial features are indistinct. Studio imprint at the bottom of the mount: ‘W. B. Austin’ (lower left, ornamental cartouche) and ‘Vandyke Studio / Charleston, S.C.’ (lower right). No caption or identifying inscription is visible on the front of the card.
