The “Christopher” here is likely Dr. Christopher FitzSimons (3rd) of Georgetown (1828–1866, killed in the Cooper River tornado at Moss Grove), the compiler’s grandfather; his brother Paul FitzSimons (m. Martha Selina Ford 1857) had seven children and lived in Georgetown, SC. The Owen FitzSimons of N.C. and the “Frank” whose great-uncle Paul is said to have been are not identified elsewhere in the album; the compiler’s question mark records her own uncertainty about whether the three FitzSimons men were brothers.
