AI Notes

A small mailing envelope mounted on the album page, the cover of the letter that follows on pages 267–270. The envelope is franked with a 6-cent United States stamp depicting the American flag over the White House and is cancelled with an Orlando, FL, postmark dated 5 SEP 1968. Return address handwritten at upper left in blue ink, recipient address handwritten in the center in blue ink. The writing of the enclosed letter is faintly visible through the envelope paper — show-through, not a marginal annotation. 1008 Strathmore Dr., Orlando is the McEwan-Green family’s address at the time (one of Nancy’s residences after her 1968 marriage to Theodore Robert Green).

The faint cursive writing showing through the envelope is the letter from Nancy McEwan Green that follows on pages 268–270.
