AI Notes

First page of a multi-page typed family history evidently prepared by a family member for submission to the Barbour County (W.Va.) History Book project. Penciled at the top in cursive: ‘compiled for Barbour County History Book March, 1979.’ The page is on cream typing paper with double-line spacing and shows scattered offset / ghosted text bleeding through from a facing page in the album (visible ghosts include ‘Emma Dee died May, 1959.’, ‘January, 1960.’, and ‘February 7, 1975.’ — these come from the typed verso of page 661 setting off onto this side). The typescript narrates the life of James Pickens Walker (1883–1960), his marriage to Amy Perry FitzSimons, his career on the B&O and Atlantic Coast Line railroads, and his children. Continuation of his daughter Emma Dee’s life is at the top of page 661. Emma Dee’s marriage to Dr. Robert Corbell, Jr. is dated 1938.
