AI Notes
An addressed envelope, printed return-address imprint at the upper left, bearing a circular Virginia postmark dated SEP 12 1940 (town partly illegible but probably ‘Shiloh, Va.’). The envelope is the companion to the covering letter on pages 388–390 from the Rev. Thomas Perry Baker. Faint pencil writing — possibly an earlier address or draft — shows through from inside the envelope. A pencil street-address annotation in another hand appears at the lower left.
Faint cursive shows through the envelope from inside, suggesting the enclosed letter (pages 388–390) is partially visible through the paper.
