…
Was sort of bewildered by Jane & Edward — would this make Ed - born May 1809 — & Anne Jane ^Aug 1808? Am not sure about dates &c? — will check again some time — & don’t know these people why don’t you write Willie Gaillard at - Eutawville —

Continuation of the cursive memorandum from page 222. The upper portion gives an inscription for Mrs. Eleanor Milliken (b. Carrickfergus, Ireland; d. 21 April 1844, age 62) and notes the deaths of three infant children: Edward (d. 26 Nov 1809, age 6 mo), Anne Jane (d. 11 June 1809, age 11 mo), and Anne Boyle (d. 19 April 1820, age 7 weeks). Below a horizontal rule, the compiler adds a candid first-person note acknowledging confusion over the children’s birth dates and suggesting writing Willie Gaillard at Eutawville for clarification.
The “Aug” is written above the line as an interlinear correction. Willie Gaillard of Eutawville, S.C. is identified elsewhere in the album (page 655) as the husband of Anna FitzSimons.
