The grading is as follows: For Scholarship—Excellent, Good, Fair or Poor. For Deportment—Excellent, Good, Careless or Bad.

Promotions at the end of the year to a higher grade need not be expected where the marks are not at least Fair in every study.

Lessons to be learned at home are given every day to all pupils above the first grade and it is expected that such lessons will occupy in this grade at least three hours a day. If a pupil with a low scholarship grade is spending less time than this on his home lessons, parents are earnestly requested to unite with us in efforts to secure more study.

Punctual and regular attendance is of prime importance, and teachers cannot be responsible for the advancement of pupils who are frequently tardy or absent.

E. P. [Mangum?]
