AI Notes

A printed Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company station-stationery envelope, slightly browned, with a circular Monticello, Fla. postmark dated Oct 16 1911, 2 PM. Addressed in dark fountain-pen ink to Mrs. J. P. Walker at Adams Run, S.C. A small piece of tape patches a tear at the upper right where the stamp once was. This envelope evidently carried the letter transcribed on pages 4 and 5, written by James Pickens Walker to his wife Amy on their wedding anniversary. No marginalia at full resolution.
