Announcement was made today of the opening of a full time office of the Asheville Production Credit Association for Henderson and Transylvania Counties, effective January 1st. The office will be located in the new addition to the Henderson County Agricultural Building on Maple St. in Hendersonville. The announcement was made following a meeting of the board of directors in Asheville by Alton L. Ward, General Manager.
Also included in the action was the appointment of Frank L. FitzSimmons, Jr., as manager of the Henderson-Transylvania office. Mr. FitzSimmons recently accepted the position of assistant Secretary-Treasurer of the association which serves farmers in the 14 western counties of North Carolina.

She is the daughter of Mrs. Loraine Wingo Mahaffey and the late Mr. Mahaffey of Camden. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hardy Waterfall of Columbia.

Grace Episcopal Church in Camden was the scene of the wedding of Miss Esther Lorraine Mahaffey and Gaillard FitzSimons Waterfall on Thursday, December 21, at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Harry Ernest Lawhon Jr., officiated at the double-ring ceremony in the presence of a large assemblage of relatives and friends. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Loraine Wingo Mahaffey and the late Mr. Mahaffey of Camden, and the bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hardy Waterfall of Columbia.
The wedding music was presented by Mrs. William Bratton deLoach, organist, and John Richards McCrae of Charlottesville, Va., the former Marietta Williams of Camden, was matron of honor. Bridal attendants were Mrs. J. Stephen Anderson of Butler, Pa., the former Barbara Baldauf of Camden; Mrs. Francis McFarland Haynie Jr. of Columbia, the former Rachel Montgomery of Camden; Mrs. Wylie Edward Mitchell Jr. of Columbia, the former Jane Cooper of Camden; Mrs. Andrew McConnell Faucette Jr., the former Harriott Gonzales Hampton of Columbia, cousin of the bride, and Miss Frances Wallace Taylor of Hampton, Va. They were dressed identically in floor length gowns of American Beauty chiffon over peau de soie. The cage effect of the gowns was [continues].

FitzSimons Installed As President
Frank L. FitzSimons, Jr., branch manager of Mountain Production Credit Association, was installed Thursday as president of the Kiwanis Club of Hendersonville.

Installation was conducted by Marvin Folger, lieutenant governor of District 1B of Kiwanis in North Carolina. Folger is a member and a past president of the Burke County Kiwanis Club, Morganton.
FitzSimons succeeds O. B. Crowell, Jr., as head of Kiwanis here.
Installed with him were Harley Blackwell as first vice president, William E. Penny as second vice president, Robert W. Fox as secretary-treasurer, and the following incoming directors of the club:
Hardy Caldwell, J. B. Henderson, Edward R. Inman, Paul Jones, Finley Pace, Trueman Westmoreland and Dr. James L. Winstead, Jr.
Retiring directors are Winfield D. Miller, a former president of the club; Robert J. Swackhamer and William H. Waggoner.
Mrs. Folger accompanied her husband on his visit to the Hendersonville club.
