A single carte-de-visite-size albumen photograph, full-length standing studio portrait of a young man with dark hair and mustache wearing the dark frock coat of a U.S. Army officer (Civil War era), with shoulder straps, a sword belt with rectangular regulation buckle, sash, and saber hanging at his left hip. His plumed forage cap or kepi rests on a draped, covered pedestal at his left elbow. The print appears to be unmounted on this scan (no album caption visible).
