AI Notes

Fourth and final sheet (p. 4 of 4) of Ellie’s letter of October 26, 1948 (continued from page 507), numbered ‘4’ at the top. The letter closes with a final remark that all in the household acknowledge the priority of the ‘little Bo baby’ and will keep the peace as long as is necessary; signed ‘Affectionately, Ellie.’ The bottom half of the page is blank ruled lines. The four-page letter (pp. 505–508) is one of the last surviving exchanges between Ellie and her sister Amy: Ellie had just retired from the Charleston Library Society effective October 1, 1948 (see p501) and would die five years later in 1953.

The remainder of the page is blank.
