AI Notes

A single engraved wedding announcement card mounted to the center of the otherwise blank album page. Light folding creases run horizontally and vertically. Card is printed in formal copperplate script on cream stock.

Theodore Barker FitzSimons (1890–1943) is the compiler’s only surviving brother to reach adulthood and marry — his younger brothers Duncan Wragg, Thomas Parker, and Samuel Cantell all died as small children (see page 339). He had served as a corporal with the 464th Engineers Pontoon Train, A.E.F. in France in 1918 (cf. pages 340, 342–344) and after the war planted at the family’s Willtown Bluff place on the Edisto before settling at Savannah.
