“He scarcely used to doff his pride or slough the dross of earth, the path he trod today to God, he walked it from the birth, In simpleness, gentleness, honor and clean mirth.”

His wife and son Theodore Barker FitzSimons are buried in the same lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
