A second sheet on the same printed Spartanburg Oil Mill letterhead. Pencilled at the upper left, beneath the ‘Manager’ line: T.G.B. #2.
The body continues mid-sentence:
to maintain this condition until I have acquired a home. I hope you will get a good price for all the furniture &c. I should like to see the place before you give it up, but I am too far away. I shall just have to store up the memories of it to tell to my grand children. Aunt Ellen gave me a very beautiful photograph of Mulberry which I have framed and hanging in my “sitting” room.
