and afternoon. Annie asked Etta to dine and the day was very successful. Etta said Heeger had been so very loving & kind to Seaman & herself, she was glad to go there, to be with him. She stais nearly all afternoon, he was at home — She admires Sam very much, and little Heeger almost as much. — Marguerite has been getting some teeth, and was not well, but very fat & healthy looking. They go to [insertion above line: Cousin ] Miss Toomer about 1st June. Henry, and Anna came in after tea last night & were very nice. Henry said if you could not come down from Columbia, he would go up to see you. Harriett wrote from Kanzas City that she had enjoyed seeing Tom Stoney at St Louis, I would write next day — but we have not heard since. Aunt Louisa has been pretty well for a few days — Mrs Williman still in Columbia. Dr. W. very weak, but improves a little — I have just found a postal I wrote you four days ago — excuse me — Am sleepy now, as I got up to see Etta this morning — When does Sue come on, & Gaillie —
